Appellant was charged with the offense of murder. The jury found him guilty and the trial court assessed punishment at confinement for twenty-five years. On appeal to the Court of Appeals, appellant contended that a knife found on his person when he was arrested should have been suppressed because his arrest was illegal. The Court of Appeals overruled appellants point of error and appellants conviction was affirmed. DeJarnette v. State, 706 S.W.2d 680 (Tex.App. Houston [14th], 1986). Appellant petitioned this Court for discretionary review which we granted to determine whether the Court of Appeals erred in finding that the evidence should not have been suppressed. We will affirm.
